Best Time for a Cabo Bachelorette Party, Month by Month

Cabo is a year-round destination, but the experience changes a lot depending on when you go. Weather, water temperature, crowds and events all shift through the year. Here's a month-by-month look to help you pick the perfect weekend for the bride. One tip up front: once you've picked a month, lock in the villa early. Prime weekends at the best bachelorette party villas in Cabo get booked months ahead.
The quick answer
- Best overall weather: roughly November through May, with warm, sunny days, cooler evenings and low humidity.
- Best for whales: roughly December through April, when humpback whales are often seen off the coast.
- Busiest: the winter holidays and spring break (around March).
- Hottest, quietest and most unpredictable: late summer into early fall, which overlaps with the eastern Pacific hurricane season (officially mid-May to the end of November, typically most active from about August to October).
January
It's peak high season with beautiful, dry weather. Days are warm and evenings can be cool enough for a light layer on the terrace. Whale season is in full swing, so your yacht cruise might include a humpback sighting. Book early, since this is one of Cabo's most popular months.
February
February brings more of the same perfect weather, plus whales. It's a favorite month for bachelorettes because it's warm without the heat of summer. Valentine's week books up fast.
March
March is warm and sunny, and it's also spring break, so nightlife downtown and on Médano Beach is at its liveliest. If your group wants maximum energy, this is your month. If you'd rather avoid the college crowd, aim for early March or late in the month, and lean into a private villa so you have a calm home base.
April
April is one of the best months, warm with gentle seas and the tail end of whale season. Easter week (Semana Santa) is very popular with Mexican travelers, so check dates if you're near the holiday.
May
May is reliably sunny, hotter, and drier still. It's a sweet spot: lots of sun with fewer crowds than winter. Pool days at the villa feel perfect.
June
Summer heat arrives. The water warms up, so it's great for swimming off the yacht, and there are fewer crowds. Plan pool time and the boat for the morning or late afternoon, and stay out of the midday sun.
July and August
It's hot and humid, and it's the quietest time for tourism. The water is at its warmest. This is also the stretch of hurricane season when storms become more likely, so buy travel insurance and keep plans flexible. If your group loves heat and wants Cabo with fewer people, it can still be a fun choice.
September
September is typically the most active part of hurricane season and the slowest month for visitors. We'd usually steer bachelorettes toward a different month unless your dates are fixed.
October
The heat starts to ease and the town wakes back up. Cabo hosts big sport-fishing events this month, including the well-known Bisbee's tournaments, which bring a lively crowd to the marina. Late October into Halloween is a fun, festive window.
November
Many people's favorite month. The weather turns comfortable again, the crowds haven't hit holiday levels, and everything is open and buzzing. It's an excellent choice for a bachelorette.
December
December has great weather and holiday sparkle, with whales arriving. The weeks around Christmas and New Year's are the busiest and most in demand of the entire year, so book very early if you want those dates.
How far ahead to book
For winter, spring break and the holidays, start planning as early as you can, ideally many months out, because large villas that sleep 20 or more are limited. Shoulder months like May and November usually give you more flexibility, but the best houses still go first. Hold the villa, then build the yacht, dinners and spa time around it.
A note on packing by season
In winter, bring a light layer for evenings on the terrace and for the ride home from the yacht. In summer, pack breathable outfits, extra sunscreen and plan to spend the hottest hours in the pool. Whatever the month, a hat and reef-safe sunscreen are must-haves.
Whenever you go: make the villa the star
Whatever month you choose, the villa sets the tone for the whole trip. Our concierge team decorates the villa for the bride's arrival with balloons, banners, florals and a styled welcome setup, so the celebration starts the moment you walk in.
