Cabo Bachelorette Villa Checklist

Planning a bachelorette means lots of details, and the villa is the biggest one. Use this checklist to make sure the house you book actually works for your group. Then use the packing and planning lists to make sure nothing gets forgotten.
Part 1: What to look for in the villa
Enough real bedrooms
- Count beds, not just "guests." Make sure every bridesmaid has a real bed and nobody is stuck on a couch.
- Ask whether the bride can have the best suite. She should.
- Both of our featured villas have 8 bedrooms. Villa Lands End sleeps up to 22 and VIP Marina Mansion sleeps up to 26.
Bathrooms and getting-ready space
Getting a group of women ready for a night out takes mirrors, outlets and bathrooms. More bathrooms means fewer lines before dinner.
A pool you'll actually use
- Look for a pool with lounging space, shade and a view, since it's where you'll spend most of your daytime.
- Villa Lands End has a cliffside pool and a jacuzzi for up to 10 over the Pacific. VIP Marina Mansion has two pools, a main pool and a 3rd-floor plunge pool, plus a hot tub.
Staff included
- Private chef: brunches and dinners at the house, with no reservations for 15 needed.
- Bartender: mimosas, margaritas and a signature cocktail named after the bride.
- Daily maid service: the house stays guest-ready even after a big night.
- Concierge: transport, reservations, spa bookings and excursions.
Both featured villas include a chef, bartender, maid and concierge.
Decorations for the bride
This is the one that makes the arrival unforgettable. Our concierge team decorates the villa for the bride's arrival with balloons, banners, florals and a styled welcome setup. Share the bride's colors, theme or any must-haves with us ahead of time, and the house will be ready when she walks in.
Location
- Decide whether you want to walk to the action or have a quieter, more dramatic setting.
- Walkable: VIP Marina Mansion is within walking distance of the Cabo marina and downtown.
- Views and privacy: Villa Lands End is in gated Pedregal on the cliffs above the Pacific. It's a 10 to 15 minute walk to Pedregal Beach and a short drive to Médano Beach and downtown.
Photo spots
Sunset terraces, the pool edge, an outdoor bar and good natural light all matter, and you'll take hundreds of photos. Both villas deliver: VLE has the ocean and cliffs, and VMM has rooftop-level views over the town and bay.
Security
A gated community and a staffed property mean peace of mind for the whole group.
Indoor space for downtime
Cabo sun is strong, so you'll want a comfortable living room, air conditioning and a place to watch a movie or nap between the pool and dinner. VIP Marina Mansion's 3rd-floor bar with a 75" TV is a group favorite, and Villa Lands End has a game room and a gym for anyone who wants a morning workout.
Easy communication
Before booking, make sure you have one point of contact who answers quickly. For a big group, that's what turns a trip with lots of moving parts into a relaxed one.
Part 2: Book the extras early
- Party yacht: the 90ft yacht with a live DJ, premium open bar, full-course meal and water toys, for up to 30 guests with taxes included. Packages are 3 hours for $5,300, 4 hours for $6,500 or 5.5 hours for $7,500 USD. Details at CaboPartyYacht.com.
- Big group dinner downtown: reserve early for one night out.
- Spa appointments: perfect for the morning after.
- Airport transport: Los Cabos International Airport (SJD) is about 40 to 50 minutes from Cabo San Lucas.
Part 3: What to pack
- Swimsuits, at least two, plus a matching set for yacht day
- Cover-ups and sandals
- A going-out outfit for each night
- Reef-safe sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses
- A waterproof phone case
- The bride's sash, veil or white outfits
- A portable charger
- Cash for tips (tipping staff and the yacht crew is customary)
- Any medications, plus something for the morning after
Part 4: Before you fly
- Confirm the final headcount and arrival times with the concierge.
- Send dietary needs and drink preferences for the chef and bartender.
- Share the bride's decoration theme and colors.
- Plan the yacht for the middle of the trip, not arrival day.
- Make sure everyone's passport is valid.
- Create a group chat with the itinerary pinned.
Part 5: Common mistakes to avoid
- Booking too small. A house that "sleeps 20" with sofa beds isn't the same as 8 real bedrooms. Check the bed list.
- Scheduling the yacht on arrival day. Flight delays happen. Put the yacht in the middle of the trip.
- Overplanning. Leave a pool afternoon free. Some of the best moments happen when nothing is scheduled.
- Forgetting the bride's preferences. Ask her maid of honor what she'd actually love, then share it with the concierge so the decorations, menu and activities fit her.
- Waiting to book. The best large villas fill up first, especially in winter and spring.
